Green Pepper Dinner

Makes 8 servings

Wash 4 green peppers and cut a slice from stem end.
Remove seeds and white membrane, slice peppers in half
Soak 4 slices bread in hot water
Remove, squeeze out excess water and crumble into a bowl.
Add 1 lb Ground beef, 1 medium onion, chopped
2 eggs, ½ teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper
Fill peppers with this mixture.
Place in a heavy skillet.
Combine 1 can {8 oz} tomato sauce and 1 sauce can water
Pour over peppers.
Bring to a rolling boil. Cover skillet
and reduce heat to simmer. Cook 1 hour.
